This film presents a dazzling tale of one man's successful quest
to find place, meaning and identity in the high, remote wilderness
of Tibet. In the process, his global journey reveals something of
the essence and wonder of Tibet's ancient, religious culture. It
also describes some of the conflicts it suffers today, after generations
of oppression under the Chinese government and modern-day mass tourism
invading every aspect of Tibetan culture.
