Why is the burning at the 14th Century Chevelon Ruin of the Homol'ovi village in northeastern Arizona so extensive? In this ancestral Hopi home, 100 or more structures were burned intentionally, but why? Answering such questions is the subject of much debate and was a key objective of the 2005 expedition to the site, comprising fire analysts as well as archaeologists. In the course of the study, under the guidance of Dr. E. Charles Adams and A. J. Vonarx, researchers built a pueblo and set it on fire numerous times.
