This is an introduction to the joys and hard work of searching for the remains of earlier people's lives and the telling of unremembered stories. See students, from young adults to retirees, becoming archaeological technicians on prehistoric and historical sites by doing field survey, excavating and screening artifacts, processing artifacts in the laboratory, and preparing data for future research. This Archaeological Technician Program is offered by a consortium of colleges and universities hosted by Cabrillo College in Aptos, California.
