Location: Malta Length: 17 min
Long before Stonehenge and the Egyptian pyramids, Neolithic people in Malta built many impressive megalithic temples. Then the temple builders vanished from the archaeological record. This is one of the greatest enigmas in the world of archaeology, but surprisingly few people have even heard of the Maltese temples. By contrast, Stonehenge, a simpler monument erected about a thousand years later, is literally world-famous. Our ALI film team goes to Malta to explore the temples and their mysteries.
