Moussai is a small village in the region of Mylopotamos, Crete, abandoned in the late 1960s. In only a few decades, the village has been transformed into an advanced stage of decay. The houses are dilapidated and all that was left behind is gradually disappearing. This is an example of the formation of an archaeological site, leaving behind architectural remains, ecofacts and artifacts for future archaeologists to discover. This film is one step ahead of archaeology, as it follows the formation of a deposition that may be part an excavation many years from now.
