(1) “Ikwé”: This experimental film from Canada is the re-imagining of a generational conversation and passage of traditional knowledge between a woman and her grandmother moon. The film weaves the narrative of one woman’s (Ikwé’s) intimate thoughts with the teachings of her grandmother, the Moon. (2) “In the Village of Poets”: The people of a small Turkish village in northern Cyprus, called “The Village of Poets,” remarkably have worked on their own for a long time to preserve a sixteen-century Greek church.
