Geometrics has been using its geophysical tools in archaeological applications from its inception in 1969.  In 2011, Geometrics teamed with University of Georgia Ph.D. student Dan Bigman to perform a magnetometer survey at Ocmulgee National Monument to image buried features at the Ocmulgee Site, a Mississippian earthworks site dated AD 800-1500 and also a Civil War battle site.  The survey located anomalies reflecting the old excavations as well as prehistoric features, modern improvements and possibly Civil War features.
